Monthly Hot Dog Choice
Hi everyone. I'm going to introduce a new feature on the Bootlegger's blog. Everyone pairs wines with meat and fish, but I'm going to pair my favorite hot dogs with my favorite craft beers. Sounds like a good combination to me. Here we go.
I bleed green, but my favorite hot dog is a Chicago Dog. The dog is topped with yellow mustard, chopped white onions, sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle, celery salt (a key ingredient) and a slew of other stuff. In other words, there are a bunch of vegetables on it. Personally, I like to throw on some real hot peppers. What am I drinking with a nice meaty Chicago dog in the...dog days of the summer (I guess I can only make that joke one time). I'm drinking a nice amber lager that will stand up well against the heat of the hot peppers and the heaviness of the Chicago Dog.
